Neubility, a leader in autonomous robot services, has secured a spot on Forbes Asia’s prestigious “100 to Watch” list for 2024. The company stands out as the sole Korean robotics firm among seven Korean businesses featured this year.
Forbes Asia unveiled its annual list on August 27th, highlighting promising small to mid-sized companies and startups poised to drive economic growth across Asia. The selection process involved a panel of experts evaluating candidates on various factors, including industry impact, growth potential, investment appeal, business model strength, and compelling narrative.
Neubility earned its place in the Enterprise Technology & Robotics category, gaining recognition for its advanced AI-powered camera-based autonomous driving technology. The company has also impressed with its expanding network of partnerships both within Korea and internationally.
Currently, Neubility operates the largest fleet of outdoor autonomous robots in Korea, with services spanning three countries – Korea, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. Their robots are deployed across 17 different locations, tackling tasks from deliveries to security patrols.
What sets Neubility apart is its innovative approach to autonomous navigation. Unlike many competitors relying on expensive lidar sensors, Neubility’s robots use a camera-only system powered by artificial intelligence. This design allows for quick and flexible deployment in diverse settings, from bustling city centers to residential areas, university campuses, and even camping grounds.
The company recently hit a milestone of over 10,000 completed autonomous trips. Neubility has also forged partnerships with industry giants like Samsung Electronics, Yogiyo (a popular food delivery platform), and SKT, along with other major players in electronics, food and beverage, telecommunications, and retail sectors.
Sangmin Lee, CEO of Neubility, commented on the Forbes recognition: “This acknowledges the strength of our AI-driven camera-based autonomous driving technology. We’ve proven our ability to deliver reliable, adaptable solutions across various environments, and we’re now demonstrating that same competitiveness on the global stage.” Lee added, “Looking ahead, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of robotics innovation and expanding our global footprint. Our goal is to cement Neubility’s position as a frontrunner in autonomous robotics.”
Founded in 2017, Neubility now employs a team of 123 and has successfully raised Series A funding from notable investors including Samsung Electronics and IMM Investment. The company remains focused on advancing AI-powered robotics, with a vision to expand and redefine the role of robots in our day-to-day lives.
