Seoul, May 7, 2024 – Neubility, a leading autonomous robot service company, announced its collaboration with SK Shieldus (www.skshieldus.com, CEO Hong Won-pyo) and comprehensive building management company KB AZU (Chairman Kim Hyun-yul) to commercialize autonomous patrol robots for residential complexes.

On May 3, an MOU was signed at the SK Shieldus office in Samseong-dong, attended by key representatives from the three companies including Lee Sang-min, CEO of Neubility; Jang Woong-jun, Head of Physical Security Business at SK Shieldus (Vice President); and Han Joo-seok, Vice President of KB AZU.

Through this agreement, Neubility aims to introduce and commercialize patrol robots, co-developed with SK Shieldus, in large residential complexes managed by KB AZU within the third quarter of this year.

The autonomous patrol robots, designed for residential complexes, will operate 24/7, ensuring continuous security coverage even during late-night hours or security guard breaks, thereby minimizing security blind spots and significantly enhancing the safety of residents.

Neubility is also considering the development of real-time detection capabilities for various residential issues such as illegal parking, littering, and unauthorized storage. Future plans include consulting with residents to enable the patrol robots to also serve as guide robots, indicating no-smoking zones and restricted areas.

Lee Sang-min, CEO of Neubility, stated, “Our patrol robots are designed to navigate safely around high-rise apartment complexes, which are a staple of Korean urban living, regardless of the time of day. They are thoughtfully designed considering the efficiency and usability for both the managers who directly utilize the service and the residents who encounter the robots within the complex. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance the safety within residential complexes and ultimately improve the quality of life for the residents.”

Neubility is also making strides in global expansion, having provided services to Neom City in Saudi Arabia for local market functionality verification and enhancement. In April, Neubility signed a contract with the American integrated security service company SFS Group to conduct a PoC (Proof of Concept) in Miami, Florida, deploying patrol robots in a housing complex with 1,700 residences, laying the groundwork for entering the North American market.
